Turning Everyday Work IntoRecognized Records

Apa is a Bengali-first documentation tool built with grassroots organisations to help them log work, keep records, and turn everyday activity into something that can be shared, understood, and carried forward.

The Silent Crisis

Grassroots organisations in Bangladesh do extraordinary work.Almost none of it is documented.

Community-based organisations working in sex worker rights, hijra and transgender advocacy, and women's movements run programmes, reach thousands of people, and create real change. But they rarely have the tools, language support, or capacity to record what they do.

Without documentation, their work stays invisible. They cannot show funders what happened, cannot learn from their own patterns, and cannot prove the impact they already know is real. The tools that exist were not built for them, not built in Bengali, and not built for the way grassroots work actually happens. This is not a technology gap. It is a justice gap.

01

No language, no access

Every existing documentation tool assumes English literacy and digital training that most CBO workers simply don't have.

02

Funding tied to paperwork

Institutional donors require structured reports. Without documentation, real impact doesn't exist on paper — and funding disappears.

03

Work lost to memory

Activities, beneficiaries, outcomes — all stored in notebooks or recalled from memory. When staff change, the knowledge vanishes.

How Apa Works

Apa speaks like a trusted elder sister, not a software tool. She guides CBO workers through documentation in their own language, at their own pace.

01

A worker opens Apa on her phone

No training required. Apa greets her in Bengali and asks what happened today — just like a colleague would.

02

They describe the activity in her own words

Apa structures the response — capturing the date, location, participants, and outcomes automatically.

03

Apa generates a funder-ready report

In English. Formatted for institutional donors, NGOs, and grant requirements — no translation needed on her end.

Project & Budget Tracking

Organizations can manage multiple projects, log expenses, and track budgets - all in one place, all in Bengali.

Meeting Notes with AI Structure

Apa listens to meeting summaries and automatically extracts key decisions, action items, and attendance - ready to file.
